Best film of 35 mm in low light – perhaps without flash?
DSLR been for some years, now getting into 35mm film. What is a good / Best movie photos indoors, perhaps without flash? A friend mentioned Fuji Provia. I have a Nikon N75 and I'll be with my Nikkor 50mm F1.4 AF-S. Thanks! Good point, Theo. Without a tripod and the subject will be people.
If you can use B & W TMAX 1600 and 3200. Big deal low light. Grainy, but those speeds are expected. I used to use Kodak Ektapress 1600, suspended today. Fuji The 800 is good, see if you can find a professional lab that can push it to 1600 if needed. Sure to use a light meter and manual configuration. If you use in the measurement of the camera, and put a light source in the frame, you get a very well exposed bulb light and darkness everywhere. With manual, the light bulb went off and people are going to be fine. Also, change all the bulbs of 100 watts, and if necessary (possible) some lights moving around a little more lighting. In a game of college basketball, my usual exposures were IS0 1600, f2.8 1 / 125, or 1250 /, depending location. With the 1.4 lens and normal indoor lighting would probably be in 1600, 1.4, 1 / 125.
