I hear you, brother. My Elan 7e and Sekonic L-358 uses CR123 batteries. They are very expensive! It would be worth trying. I have had personal experience with them, but now that they have noted that I could give them a chance. I plan to see the first batch to receive carefully. Searching for signs of boiling, heating or bulging. If you take a charge then I will test the output voltage. Definitely do not want more higher than spec.
