nikon n90 cable release
Is the remote shutter release to work behind the camera D40.?

I have a cable for my N90 and towork it is not the intention in my D40 (and I see that sell a command of the D40, but can be used from behind or is only for the portraits??? This is a serious problem IMO. I can not find one on the Nikon Web view only the remote control.

The wireless remote is an IR remote. There is some limited sensitivity if it is directly behind the camera, but if you have the remote in the front side, you're well. With a mirror or a piece of paper, it is easy also to reflect the IR from behind. With my old D70 (used the same system and IR remote), I have been able to shoot in the back, while there was something reflects IR toward the sensor, such as glass, mirrors, etc.
