Would you like a new Nikon camera lens?

I have a nikon d3000, and I have the 18-55mm lens, and I'm looking for a target with a lower f-stop as an aperture of 1.4, so I found a 50 mm with an f stop of 1.8, the add all say Nikon 50 mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Digital SLR Camera Nikon. Do I need to know anything more about it before you buy? as if they work with my camera? and I go to a smaller aperture for better depth field? Thank you very much! I am new to this:)

While you have a hit in a fantastic goal, a problem that is not well-advertised by Nikon. In D3000, D5000, D3100, and nothing more than a D80, the lens will not autofocus. If manual focus anyway, no problem. If not, check out the 50 mm f / 1.4 in place. It will be a little sharper, you get almost double the amount of light, will be built a little better, and most importantly, the automatic approach camera. It will also cost much more than the f / 1.8 (but not expensive). The depth of field will be differences between f/1.8 yf/1.4 almost imperceptible. An alternative is 35 mm f / 1.8. Auto focus camera, and gives a very narrow perspective to "normal" in a crop-frame sensor like the D3000. In other words, if you look through a 35mm lens on a camera frame of crops, you will see almost exactly what you would see looking through a 50 mm lens on a full screen or a small format camera film. Good luck!
