Can the AF Zoom Nikkor age of 80 ~ 200 mm lens?
It's really an old lens and I'm confused if it can autofocus an engine installed in a body to be used with it .. Are there signs that it is compatible or not: the image is here http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/nikon/nikkoresources/zoomsMF/80200mm . htm
The Nikkor represented on the website is one of the first Nikon MF zooms designed for Nikon film cameras manual. Therefore, the objective is not AF SLR body or any digital SLR. Screw on modern Nikon AF bodies can only drive a lens that is designed to work with – Zoom-Nikkor 80-200mm f/4.5 is one of them. If the lens is AI'dy if you can get your hands on an old Nikkor TC-16A teleconverter then you have limited the ability of AF.
