I have recently bought a Coolpix P100. Sadly, I am very disappointed with the photo quality. I bought this camera to replace and upgrade from my Canon Powershot A610 which I bought several years ago. In fact, the Canon takes far better quality photos with much less ‘graininess’ and far better contrast, colour and definition. While I am not an ‘expert’ photographer, I have taken the time to study the manual and various web-sites to try to find solutions to this issue, however, a growing number of online sources report the same problems. That is, light metering problems, poor photo quality, ‘over-processing’ etc. The store that I bought the camera from will not accept any refund or exchange, so I am stuck with the P100, but I would like to know if Nikon can do anything to help. I don’t want to sound like a whinger, but this Nikon ‘experiment’ has been an expensive failure, and I will only stick to Canon in the future.
Because the camera has so many capabilities I’ve decided to keep it.. Hopefully Nikon will come out with new firmware that can improve the picture quality.
I bought Nikon P100 but still struggling how to overcome blur images of moving objects and how to capture large landscape panoramic images.
I had opted this camera for my kid whose every moment i am trying to capture but sad to see not able to resolve the moving blur as kids are very active but camera should be perfect to capture the moving images still with no blur. Any idea which option of P100 i should use and do we have tutorial/guides on how to use various options of p100.
Estou muito frustada com a cor das fotos feitas por essa câmera. Muito mesmo. A comprei para fotografar eventos especiais mas saio triste de cada um deles.
Há alguma sugestão dada pela Nikon para tal problema?
