nikon d3000 REMOTE CONTROL?

Hello, I just bought a Nikon remote contol ~ D3000 me, comes with new battery. Has anyone bought one and What problems I have to work? I'm new to these cameras and they told me that this wireless control unit is compatible with my camera, but did not come with instructions any help would be great thanks

Go to Menu> CAMERA> Release …… not find a way to launch a distance …. select it. Point the remote control in front of the camera and toward the camera work …. te … You may refer to your camera's manual as well ….
