what's wrong with my camera?

I have a Nikon Coolpix S1, and some things wrong with it. I think it's something with the lens, because when I turn it on and try take a picture of the screen is all black, like I'm taking a shot in the dark or something. I tried to take a picture to see if the flash is made to the image did not. please HELPPP.
