Is my Nikon D300 lens of my work in an F50 (35 mm)?
I have a Nikkor AF ZOOM NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4-5.6, AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 VR, and I'm about to get AF Micro NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8D, also I have a nikon sb-600 speedlight Flash. I wonder if the lenses and external flash will work on the F50. Thanks!
His 18-55mm lens will not work well with that body. It is an objective DX (DX note in a name), which means it's made for small DX sensor. It mount and focus, however, does not cover the entire frame to a certain level of zoom (35 mm or less, I think), and leaves a dark circle, called vignetting around image. Others must work lenses and flash (I think flash will only work as standard TTL flash, obviously, things like iTTL, CLS, and other features advanced did not exist when F50 was designed not work, but … what do you expect?). LEM.
