Nikon Coolpix L10 – black screen?
I was taking pictures when suddenly the screen went black. It continues to show the photos I had taken so OK, but the new are all to appear as squares in black only. It's like a lens cap is on or something, but do not touch the lens or do weird things to it in between the time he was working and when it was not. I tried that on and off, changing batteries, and gently wiping the lens with a clean cloth. I can not see anything in / to cover the lens. Help?
Sounds like the image sensor is bad. Send back to Nikon, but is out of warranty, with a short letter of what I have explained, and replaced, usually for free.
