Get a Nikon D80 this week … Requirements for beginners?
I thought, researched, and plan to buy a Nikon D80 this week, and I appreciate suggestions from Real People on the important things to have a first SLR / digital camera-to-cost-more-than-owner of $ 300 (Please ignore the obvious suggestions, such a case, the screen saver, etc). I'm so excited and I can not wait!
I would suggest that you get a flash Nikon, SB800, SB600 or sb900 to take with you when you want to take pictures of people and you need a fill flash. While the D80 has a flash, has a number small working guide and only if ar about the subject and as the flash around the lens, his subjects are susceptible to red eyes (I do not like to use Red-eye reduction in camera). I recommend getting Nikon lenses (the real reason for a purchase Nikon is because of his glasses) and the 55-200mm VR for use in portraits and telephoto work. Get a big memory card, like 4 GB or more so you can take pictures at the highest Jpeg or Raw mode. Then sotware will have a program that can capture and edit RAW images from Nikon, Nikon Capture as to handle RAW images from Nikon. Have fun with your camera.
