450D Camera – Camera Great But a few niggles

I had this camera for about four months and clicked on several photographs with different settings (Auto, Manual and RAW and JPEG). As background – I had a Canon S2 IS before this and I'm not new to SLR photography since I also owned a Minolta Dynax 5 SLR film before.

In First the positive aspects
1) The color reproduction is brilliant
2) Bright, clear viewfinder
3) All function dials / buttons are very ergonomically placed
4) Easy to use and setup menu
5) shots are absolutely stunning portrait
6) Auto and the P modes are very good for less experienced users

The "not-so-positive"

1) When you're doing photography landscape with some items in the foreground, I think that the images (when used up to 100% size) are not as sharp as one would expect them to be. With a 9-point AIAF, which promises to address these issues, I think that this is a deficiency. Do not get me wrong, the images are very good but for a state dSLR technique, I would expect that a leaf in the background to be as strong as subjects in the foreground. I have tried to improve results by using a greater depth of field (Higher F-value) but the improvement is marginal.

2) The photographs tend to be a bit underexposed. Perhaps it is my personal preference to have bright images and vibrant, but this was more evident when I took pictures in the snow and the snow turned out pretty boring (multiple settings were used again.) Anyway with the supplied software to brighten.

In general, I recommend the camera (I had done some research before committing myself) However, keep in mind that if you are very picky about the clarity of the images (not many people see the image at 100% increase in a 20-inch!) can sometimes be disappointed.

Camera 450D – SLR GREAT ALL ROUND

I had this camera for about 10 months and very happy that I made the right choice. My other option that I almost went in at the time of Sony and Nikon 300/350 D60.I am very grateful to the boy in a photo shop people who help me to make a decision after all it was a lot of money.

This camera had everything I was looking for! Watch Live! mega pixels enough, metering, etc in addition to the enormous amount of accessaries used you could get on ebay. I picked up some very good used EOS lens on the cheap and took some great photos while on holiday in India and Gran Canaria and magnificent photos of family celebrations / occasions. Some people have commented on the objective kit. I think it's one of the best road IS the goal you may have. Canon is not stupid to make their best seller for nothing!

Also if you like me moved compact film SLR / or new to digital SLR photography, I recommend a book on The Ben Long 'fellow Canon Eos XSi/450D "explains all buttons and features of this camera in the details of this PLUS is I really liked about the book, a complete class on digital photography with their own camera 450D.What the more you want! A real bargain for the price!
