I start taking pictures of stars and the moon?
I'm looking to start taking pictures of stars, moon and planets. But I'm not sure exactly where to start. If anyone can point me to a good website or even the type of telescope to buy for my first place to be able to connect my Nikon D60 digital SLR as well. Also what kind / type of adapters need to buy the cheapest, a bit expensive, even the most expensive. There are many ways to do astrophotography, some very involved. You can do everything from tracks of stars straight away the foreground galaxies. Telescope options will vary depending on the type of astrophotography that want to do. The most important component is the Mt. you need a stable and well-controlled equatorial mount to shoot anything out of the solar system. You can also wide-field astrophotography without a telescope. Monte performance is much less critical to smaller increases, and many people use a simple home-made "barn door" mounting. This is one of those fields with a long learning curve.
