What digital camera would you recommend?
I wonder which camera has better features for its price, the Canon PowerShot SD780 IS or Nikon Coolpix S60? Obviously, the S60 is more striking, with a touch screen, but image quality is comparable or better than the Canon SD780?
I would suggest the Canon DS780 for a couple of reasons, the first is the Nikon S60 is slower zoom and picture, with artificial light unless you adjust your white balance appear yellow, the canon on the other hand has a better measurement and gives better colors then Nikon with less manipulation. The fee also provides a better macro (close up) the and thus easier to navigate through menus. When the Nikon S60 was suspended earlier this year I had 6 left in the shop and it took me six months to sell, where any canon, literally flying off the shelf. I managed to weasel four to another store … It was a hard sell, since touch screen was slow compared with the buttons. Play with both side by side if his power and take the decision itself, between the two, I'd go for Canon. Dpreview.com is a good site for comparing cameras side by side.
