How do you transfer your pictures from a Nikon Coolpix 5000 on a Mac?
I am using a cable UC-E1 can any body help me?
Macs with OS X should recognize the camera as soon as you connect using the USB cable and turned on. The default application is iPhoto, which will launch and import photos from the memory card from the camera. The originals must remain on the card. If you are using Nikon PictureProject to manage your photos, install from the CD that comes with camera. WARNING: Your OS X should take into account Administrator rights to properly install Picture Project. After installing PictureProject, go to your Applications folder find Image Capture and publish. In Image Capture> Preferences, configure the application on Mac uses when connecting a camera to project the image transfer. PictureProject Transfer will find in / Applications / nikon software / PictureProject. When that is done, your Mac PictureProject Transfer will launch when you connect the camera. You can import all or choose the ones you want. When you press the transfer button, copies of the photos in PictureProject loaded on your Mac I think you should try both iPhoto and PictureProject to see which you prefer. Both work well, but there are differences that could affect your choice. Good luck!
