help with getting a camera 10 points?
Im looking for a camera to take the picture, but for snapshots only, I been looking for something like the Canon 40D and the Nikon D40, but I'd like some more options. I have the like would be: long-exposure timer and the ability to use a can under water and fisheye lens thanks:) i can not ambient underwater housing underwater housing is optional Mosly i want the title fisheye = "Graffiti on allienicole, on Flickr"> 
Okay, you think .. to be very confusing Both have the ability to use long exposure and I'm 95% positive both have a timer. Moreover, the underwater housing and fisheye lenses are the accessories. Canon has its own fish-eye has its own Nikon fisheye too. Both are very expensive and so is the underwater housing .. You're comparing two totally different cameras. The Nikon D40 is the entry level of the camera while the Canon 40D is Canon's amateur camera. Obviously, these are just labels and do not affect the outcome of your image as much as you, the photographer, no. If you are looking a small, lightweight, easy on the wallet, but still great to see the Nikon DSLR D40, D60, Canon XTi, and Canon XSi. If you're looking for something more durable then check out the Nikon D80, Nikon D90, Canon 40D and Canon 50D. If you have a limited budget, then see if you can find a used 30D or a new D80 for Nikon. (I went with the D90 or 40D)
