"I can bring my nikon d3000 in the snow?

I have a new Nikon D3000 and I want to shoot some portraits of people, while it is snowing. "I can take my camera while snowing, if I have no camera housing under water or something. Or I will ruin my camera if the snow is ahead? Besides, what I can do to protect from the snow because they have no underwater housing for it. Thanks!

I took my Sony A550 (another unweather sealed chamber) to the freezing below the night, but others did not snow. There was fog in the air through and after taking the hot car camera on the tripod and hold it for 15 minutes i looked at him and realized he was completely frozen. Over time I realized the problem, an error message came on the screen … something like "malfunction camera, please service. Uhggg … I had bought the thing. Anyway .. that quickly shut down and took it home and let it sit for a couple of days to dry before restarting. Luckily he did and is working very well …. so I guess my answer would be no … avoid the snow. As soon as the underwater housing … which will cost almost as much as a new camera time is closed. That probably would be the best approach … or plastic bag as the other guy mentioned.
