Any suggestions as what settings to use to shoot the key Cub in Los Angeles?

Well I'll take the picture tomorrow at the Key Club in Los Angeles, does anyone have experience shooting in this type of setting? I wonder if you could give me some advice and yes. I have a press pass to move a bit not much of a problem. My equipment: Nikon D80 Vertical Battery Grip w nikon af-d 80-200 f2.8 lens Nikon SB600 w / Gary Fong Light Sphere II also be used a monopod?

Do you have a fast prime? While f/2.8 is fast for a zoom lens, something like 135 mm f / 2 would be better for photography low light as you'll find at the Key Club. It also depends on what is going to shoot. If you're shooting photos of events for customers, using the flash with Lightsphere and their goal now is probably fine. Is likely to end up with dark background, but the flash will illuminate their subjects well and Lightsphere is a good diffuser. By the way, I would leave the lid on the top of the Lightsphere, since there is no ceiling to bounce things worthy. However, if you want to shoot the band or taking photographs of the site, flash probably will not be enough and would be better with a snap shot lens and no flash. On the subject monopod, no matter whether it is using the flash. If you are shooting without flash, a monopod can help you get sharper images from headquarters to slower shutter speeds, but if you use slow shutter speeds to compensate for the lack of light, a monopod will not help you get clear pictures of people in the club or the band, probably on the move (although they can do some interesting effects.) Thus, the quick use glass, pulling wide, and keep an eye on your shutter speed to make sure it is suitable for handheld shooting with moving subjects.
