nikon vr ii 18-200
Which is better Sigma 18-200 OS HSM or nikon 18-200 vr II? ?

I have read many reviews that are of no help to me at all, people they say that Nikon is better usually specific brand and custom even consider anything else. Someone with an unbiased opinion please share your thoughts in which the lens is better, everything even consider the price. (Nikon is really worth the extra $ 450?) Thanks

nikon 18-200mm vr – $ 669.00 Sigma 18-200mm OS – $ 369.00 Tamron 18-270mm VC – $ 479.00 (after mail rebate $ 70.00) All prices camerakings.com with free shipping. Check out the links below for a major revision of the lenses above. I do not think the Nikon is worth the additional premium of $ 300.00. The best agreement between all players is the Tamron. quick recap: Nikon Conclusion – Pros * Great 11.1x focal length range, ideal travel lens * Decent build quality – much better than lenses Nikon 18-55mm Kit * Very efficient Vibration Reduction system, at least 3 stops advantage * Excellent fast, quiet autofocus with manual override * High quality image in the normal range to telephoto short, and good at 200mm Conclusion – Cons * pronounced distortion in much of the range of * Extremely gentle about 135 mm * Rather, the average yield * Zoom Sigma creep Conclusion – Pros * Great 11x zoom range, general purpose and ideal travel lens chromatic aberration * Relatively low * Low distortion (for Superzoom one) * reasonably effective optical stabilization system, 2.5 to 3 stops benefit Conclusion – Cons * very inconsistent sharpness across the zoom range – Extremely soft in the corners of 80 mm * Soft at all focal lengths * Occasionally indecisive autofocus * A little less resistant to flare than its competitors Tamron recent Conclusion – Pros * Very good focal length 15x * impressive image quality in normal resistance to short telephoto range * Excellent for flash * System effective vibration correction, at least 3 stops * Auto reasonably compact benefit despite the long-range telephoto Conclusion – Cons * slow and sometimes * undecided geometric distortion in most of the zoom range * Significant chromatic aberration at wide angle and telephoto (especially 270mm) * Performance macro and not compromised (very mild f6.3, focus on stopping changes below) * zoom uneven action, "Zoom Creep" when not locked * Slightly sub-par build quality
