Im confused as im going to buy for my Nikon D5000? Reviews says. could be the Nikon is better. TAMRON other states?, Help please .. Thank you.
You seem to be stabilized by comparing a target (the Nikkor with VR) with a stabilized a (Tamron calls it VC) The Nikkor is better, no contest here. It is also three times more expensive however. If it were the VC version of the Tamron lens, then would be closer to a call. I like the stabilization even better than Nikon Tamron. On the other hand, the autofocus is often less reliable Tamron lenses. The best way for you to find out would be to try them for yourself. I do not even bother with stabilized long zoom lens though. Without a stabilizer can be used the long end of its focal range when shooting hand held only in the bright sunlight. For something less than perfect lighting conditions you'll likely need a tripod.
