Help me choose: Canon vs Nikon?
I am writing to college in the fall and I need a camera. After a careful selection process, I selected two cameras to match: Nikon D40 or Canon Rebel XS (1000D). With the D40, the flash has a manual "off" features. Do not use the flash too often. While the Rebel XS is the smallest Comments and difficult to sustain. I want to go with the Nikon, but the Rebel series has been reported as a good entry level DSLR. Help me choose please.
Honestly, people are just saying Nikon "Nikon-people" – who are loyal, because Nikon were great, makes perhaps the best cameras of 10, 20. They still have great cameras, but their technologies have not developed enough to Canon and other newer brands. With the uncomfortable "celebrating" theme, I suggest going to a store where you can just hold in your hand and see if this applies to you, because they may not. Technical features like flash, I think, more important that you have a camera, because you can not change. You can always buy a grip of some kind. In addition, the range of entry-level Nikon is said to be not as good as the Canon. They focus more on the pros. So while the cameras Nikon are good, I believe that Canon will be better for the input level, and if there are more than physical difficulties (and non-technical), which usually can be overcome. Just bought a case / control / The battery holder at the bottom of the camera. Good luck!
