Nikon D40 waterproofing? ?

I have a Nikon D40, and my BF is a snowboarder, you want to take some pictures of him snowboarding, but I will not ruin my new camera with water or snow. Is it possible to buy a waterproof case or shell to put on it so they do not ruin everything? If so where can get one?
