Pentax vs Nikon?
So I'm thinking about saving a few hundred $ $ extra and get the Nikon DSLR D300S. Is it worth? someone who has, please comment. I heard that Pentax cameras are good too. What about the k-7 has 14.6 megapixels? a little less expensive, but does not include the lens. what is the best digital SLR for less than 2000
Is your budget $ 2000 just for the camera or the inclusion of the lens? If is for everyone, you will not be able to afford a good lens to go with the D300s. You should look at Pentax D300 K7 or age. That said, I would go with the same D300s. Some people argue which is not much more than D300 and you should then save a little and go with the older D300. While that is true, D300s correcting / improving something. The buttons are more sensitive refined (Especially the d-pad) and easy to use in general. The quiet shutter option really works, and you get extra 1fps without the grip (but is not a valid point because for the price of D300s, you can get D300 and grip, which gives 8 fps). The ability to use 2 memory cards is an advantage for me too. Image quality wise, I can not tell the difference between D300 and D300s. I've never used the Pentax K7 before, but then it is supposedly better than the Nikon sealing. Not that I tried to shoot in a rainstorm before but my Nikon survives shooting in the rain.
