What kind of equipment is needed to take a professional photo and how can I take a professional photo?
I wonder what kind of equipment that will to take professional looking photos and not one that looks like your photo medioker every day? I'm taking a picture of a bride and a bridesmaid, and I want it to look like is a photo professional, not as your every day type of photo. I will be taking a photo of a photo contest fair city. The rule states that I have to take myself and can not submit a photo taken to be someone else and present it as mine. Does anyone have any tips to make it look professional? I have an old Nikon camera NT4 and uses the black and the cinema. The picture is taken in and the topics will be standing in front of a gray muslin back drop. No sarcasm please. This is serious business and sarcasm will be reported to yahoo. Thanks!
Here are some general tips: Like others above, lighting is important. Try to ensure there are no harsh shadows, or at least as few as you can handle. I'm assuming that you will not have the lighting control positions, so try to shed some material for distribution (cold shower curtains work well) on the light. My advice would really bring out the bright daylight, and put in the shade under a tree. This provides very good uniform illumination, and you can just put your background in the tree. If you can not or choose not to take out of context, and has an SLR (interchangeable lenses) can make the background blur, making a zoom lens (even moderate zoom should work), and the opening of the opening. The opening will be represented as a number like 2.8 or 8. This would give a pleasant image, with very good lighting and an attractive background. If you send me mail electronic information about your camera and the look that will please, I would be happy to assist you aa. You can send an email to xor-logic@hotmail.com
