Actually, you can do better. I followed your link and on the same page is a Pentax digital SLR 10MP 50 pounds less. The Pentax offers an excellent professional quality and comes with a 18-55mm lens, to match the 18-55mm lens from Nikon. The Pentax also offers live view and some other features of the Nikon D60 does not. Nikon and Canon may be more popular, Olympus, Pentax, Sigma and Sony offer a professional quality comparable with more features for a lower price, making them best value. Like all digital SLR, you will be able to shoot with automatic settings or you can configure everything manually. That Pentax also offers optical image stabilization, while the lens for D60 does not.
