Are the lenses that fit the D90 compatible with other cameras like the Nikon D700 or D300?
I am looking for the transition to professional photography, he studied in college, etc. I have not a penny, however, but I need a camera. So I will get the D90. After much consideration. Such as, I live in a city and the D90 is the light that is an excellent camera for street photography (often overlooked as a benefit I might add). The D90 will make an excellent lap to the camera when I can finally pay something more on par with professional specifications. However, to read much more as I have done some things are beyond me, as the true benefit of full frame. And a question I'm sure every idiot but he seems to know … that is if the lenses that fit the D90 are or will be be compatible with other Nikon SLR cameras. Yes All modern Nikon bodies use the same lens mount. The only thing is that if one of your lenses are DX, then that means they are only designed to projecting an image circle smaller sensors found in cameras like the D90 and D300. Still going to work with the D700 and D3, although the image will be cropped car to use only a part of its much larger FX sensor equaling about 5 megapixels. The benefit of full frame is that you are receiving a sensor that is actually the same size as a frame of film 135. This means no crop factor … lenses that were designed for film cameras 135 standard have the same field of view. Also the much larger surface area means they can collect more light, resulting in better ISO and dynamic range.
