How/where to fix a camera SCREEN?
I don’t remember dropping my camera, but when I turn it on, the screen is white, with black lines coming from a black dot at the left top corner. It almost looks like somebody opened up a paint document and scribbled black lines on a blank canvas.
I REALLY don’t remember dropping my camera, or hitting it against something. But it seems like the only explanation, looks like i somehow hit the camera where the black dot is, and it cracked…

I live in North Carolina, so where are some good places I can fix this? Or can I buy a new screen and put it in myself?
PLEASE HELP!! My best friend in the world is getting married on Saturday! And after that, I am going to Kitty Hawk, and i would LIKE to take some pics. No. I NEED pics, at least of the wedding!

Sounds like the controller had died in that camera.
You can get it fixed at Wolf Video, but for a CoolPix, you’re looking at probably $140 – $160 for a new controller.
May be time for a replacement camera.
