Can someone help me choose a digital camera?
Now I have two digital cameras, a Nikon D200 and 5.0 mega pixel Kodak Easy Share. I do not use Nikon because it is much more trouble getting around and make it so I can use my Kodak. My Kodak is a couple of years. I want a new camera that is thin with more mega pixels – a 10 mega pixels would be good or at least an 8. I am very happy with the Kodak I have now. Things are not like batteries need to be replaced constantly and it takes more than I think before that I can make my LCD ready to take another photo. I do not want another expensive camera. I spend about $ 150.00. Mostly I took photos of children and church activities. Occasionally I fly photos about 8×10 in size and make scrapbooks. I was looking at the Nikon Coolpix or other Kodak Easyshare … Any views or is there a web site that can compare cameras? THANKS!
People often ask, "What is a good camera to buy? "Here's my 10 cents on the subject: Point and Shoot cameras are wonderfully useful because of its small size -. When light conditions are ideal, even take pictures all do really nice limitations. However, none of them have – I do not do very well in low light (Photo noisy, difficult to avoid blur, etc.) Flash on board is very hard little short, not very far. Many of them have no function manuals, so very basic limited to only photos, you can not make unusual situations, or that many fun "tricks" and special effects. P & S shutterlag also suffer from frustration and many of them chew through batteries rather quickly. However, if you're okay with all the limitations, then go ahead and pick one, most of them (the same type and same price range) are quite similar. Personally I would choose either a Canon or Nikon one and definitely stay away from Kodak. Higher end P & S will give you more manual options and better quality. Many of those who even give you the option of adding a proper flash (which makes a big difference to flash your photos). Do not worry too much about … megapixels. there is a limit to the number of pixels that can crush a small sensor P & S before I really lose instead of winning quality. Do not worry about digital zoom, in fact, not using it. Simply crop away pixels, ie, destroy the information. The only real optical zoom. Decide what features are important to you, and look for cameras that have function. Then go compare some models www.dpreview.com. The best thing you can do for your success is to borrow some books and learn about photography. A little knowledge will make a much greater difference to the photos of your choice of P & S camera can. – For what it's worth being in the market for a P & S camera now, my choice would be a Canon Powershot SX10 IS http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=144&modelid=17630
