"I can still use Nikon Capture 4 with my D90?
I've been using Nikon Capture 4 Editor Version 4.4.0 for over 4 years with my D70s files NEF. I just got the D90 .. are some photos, upload them etc. .. and went to bring a NEF in Nikon Capture and says "DSC_0001.NEF is not a supported image file. You can need an updated version of this software to open this image. "Is there an update for such old software? Not work …. I downloaded the converter DNG and NEF files are converted to dng and Nikon Capture 4 still can not support them.
You can download a free Adobe DNG converter. Every time a new series camera leaves, improve the RAW files, so you need to be processed by the current processing programs. http://www.adobe.com/products/dng/ The news is excellent, DNG is an open source version of RAW, so that once you convert your RAW files to DNG, any program can process the image files … even free.
