Best digital camera for photography?

I really do not know anything about camera. I really want to buy a digital camera, but I'm not sure. I love taking pictures and photography. Suggestions? I do not know, I had the Nikon Coolpix S4 or the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T300 in mind. Nikon D40 and I heard it was good. I know they are not good? oh and what type of camera is considered good quality? as a 10 mega pixel camera or something. i really need help. I tend to ask many questions. xD

Depends on what you want, and how much to spend and what you want to take pictures of, and what to do with the photos of the final. A digital SLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera is expensive compared to a point and shoot, but in 99.9% of cases going to take better photos. D-SLR camera's good points * High Quality interchangeable lenses * * Heavy meaning in his hands shake less * Some models have integrated sensor cleaning units (to prevent dust from the sensor) * The bigger sensor which means more photosites which means less noise at all ISO ASA scores * / They usually have large ISO / ASA classifications noise low * environments can be mounted external flash units that are much better than the built-in camera flashes * Very quick start up and take a picture, is not expected between the pulse button and the camera takes the photo * You can make creative / artistic photography with much greater ease * filters can be attached at the end of the lens to the effects special (eg, infrared or circular polarization or GND or ND filter) * In general, the better to survive in hellish environments (rain, etc) Disadvantages D-SLR: * * * Large heavy bulky Cost * MUCH * huge * file size! It is not easy to put in your pocket …. * You can get the dust on the sensor! * A sensor may be scratched during cleaning if you do not care and cleaning yourself! * Cleaning the sensor is quite expensive (between U.S. $ 50-US $ 150 depending) * To take the photo is very noisy (click!) * also when taking a picture the mirror has to swing up, causing the viewer to black out temporarily. * Finally, the display is only rated to a certain amount of shutter cycles "- but is unlikely unless you are a professional photographer taking hundreds of photos a day would come that amount y. Pros point shoot cameras: * * * Small Large flights to capture that "special time" * The file sizes small. Disadvantages point and shoot small sensor cameras * which means fewer photosites which means more noise even at low ISO / ASA ratings. * Easier to miss! * Easier to break! * The quality is not as good as the D-SLR cameras. Now that the cameras are good for you? Depends, the ultra) compact point (and shoot I can not help, but if you want a larger camera that can take high quality images of the Canon SX IS is a good range ( ie, the S3 IS or S5) – OK with ISO / ASA grains, are fully manual and fully automatic settings and have image stabilization (good for computer Hand and slower shutter speeds) with the D-SLR from Nikon and Canon cameras tend to take the top of the range, I used a Canon EOS 40D for some time and found the quality that barely noticeable under the ISO / ASA 800. Not fully complete, but I have to run, I'll come back later to check the response of again. Dale.
