Photography student needs advice and help!?
I have a Nikon D80 and the 18-135 kit lens. I would get another goal to start my game. My teache r said a wide range of angle lens would be good to start with (VR 18-200mm) and the main target price of 50 mm. I would like the goal of being well, you'll be saving it for my career and my future use updated camera. Would you recommend these lenses to start? Also, I'd get some offering advice on camera equipment and I am a student. Any stores or websites with discounts for students?
This is a bit confusing, since you already have the 18-135 mm, 18-200 mm duplicates much of the focal length of the lens of age .. and certainly not get any wide angle lens … to the 12-24 mm would be my suggestion and, unless you plan to do much, I mean a lot of traditional portraits, the 50 mm you can wait a bit. This is what I use as professional. 12-24 mm f / 4, 24-70 mm f / 2.8, F.2.8 70-200 mm, 105 mm f/2.8 VR macro and 400 mm f / 2.8. I have a 18-200 mm VR that I use for a lot of editorial shoots only because it covers a wide range of focal lengths and virtual reality you can leave the SB600 or SB800 in the car. These are the main targets when the assignment took who have other primary objectives that I use for special situations that are considered esoteric, but the above list is similar to what I recommend as a collection possible (now I have a D3, so that adds a 14-24 mm lens for it)
