Tips for taking fireworks photos with the Nikon D70?
All my luggage is going to carry-on, so it will not be able to carry my tripod. Could be a monopod allowed as hand luggage? A monopod do the job good enough to even bother taking it? Is there anything else I could do for the fireworks than the tripod? It will be my first trip to Disneyland, I want the best pictures possible, but it would be good to take, other than a tripod. Thank you for your answers! My big concern now is whether a monopod would be a hand or need to be checked. I'm taking everything as a carry-on luggage I do not want to see that all because of a monopod. Thanks @!
The monopolies will be useful but not necessary. You can insure against another object to help maintain stability. As for the settings, there are a few things to try. First, usually take a picture with the car all that the camera can understand my point. Cameras as to push everything so gray dodge. I then take the configuration of that and put the camera in manual mode. He leaves behind two full stops and starts to give the dark sky again. Play with the speed that can then try some streaks of fireworks giving a sense of movement. You do not want to freeze the whole structure or if you have small dots of color instead of the explosions with large flowers. I took some photos of fireworks last week and I was just 1/20-1/60 sec running wider opening as the lens would give me. Those were some great pictures if you do not cough.
