Do current Nikon D300 has the problem of the old battery?
I heard that early Nikon D300s had a dead battery problem – certainly not a pleasant surprise to have after buying expensive camera. I heard that Nikon fixed with firmware update, do you know if the last production models are now patches to the latest firmware??? Or do you have to upgrade to the latest version, get it immediately after?
The new Nikon D300 should come with the latest firmware, it depends on how long you've been sitting at the shop for. The firmware is very easy to upgrade to the latest but from what I would not worry if I were you. The D300 is a great camera.
