What is a better lens used to photograph fireworks?
Hi Can anyone help me with my question? The next July 4 be the first time you take a picture of fireworks, so it is appropriate to use a 50mm f1.8? I'm starting and 50 mm f1.8 and nikkor 18-105mm f3.5-5.6 is only lenses I have. I need a professional answer for it. thank you very much! Nikkor 50mm f1.8 + Nikkor 18-105mm bells f3.5-5.6 + bells I have a tripod Information Additional: I understand how the exhibition and the work of the ISO and aperture and shutter, I just need an opinion as to which lens to use. Thanks!
What lens to use will be determined by how far they are from the fireworks. If a sample is taken then the backyard of 50 mm is fine. If you are pulling a large display of a block or more away you want the lens more. Unless your shooting location is near street lights or other direct sources of pollution light probably will not need the lens hood, but it will not hurt to leave them. http://photography.about.com/od/photographybyoccasion/tp/FireworksPhotographyLessons.htm
