my Nikon D80 with 18 135mm lens pairs ….?- a
… When I expanded up to 135 mm, I hear the sound and self Grrrrrrrrrr my Nikon D80 coupled with a 18-135mm lens does not autofocus at full zoom. Grrrrrr I hear sound when trying to autofocus. But it worked well in a wider angle. I have the camera in October 2006 .. I do not know if warranty still apples. Please tell if the problem is with the camera or lens? Thanks .. George
if the Nikon lens and camera are both contact Nikon. sounds like a problem of the lens. try another lens on the camera and see if it adequately AF then zoom in and out. But it sounds like a topic of your lens. You can contact them directly through their website and can u happened in the process. I'm not sure if Nikon has faculity repair one on the west coast, as Canon does, but if so you should be able to send the lens for repair. If you want to be aware receivable Current price for a new one and consider whether it is worth. Hope this helps.
