Wide Angle-Telephoto AF Zoom Nikkor 35-70mm?
What body should I buy I have this lens on a N90s already and love it any recomendations? (DSLR) I like changing the f-stop on the barrel.
(my wife is teaching me how to shoot manuel) I am currently using her N90s with this lens and when the time comes to go to a dslr I would like to incorporate this lens with the gear). Just doing some research. Thank you!

Since the 35-70 is not an AF-S lens you won’t get autococus on the D40 or D40X.
That leaves the D80 or higher models. I’d go for the D80 unless you need pro features.
You won’t be able to change the f-stop on the barrel. You’ll have to crank the aperture down to its smallest and use the control wheel on the camera.
The angle of view will narrow to that of a 52-105. The actual focal length will not change.
