My 18-55mm Nikkor manual focus lens no. Please help!?
I'm not quite sure what might have caused this. It works perfectly in focus automatic, but when I go to manual and try to focus only moves an inch in each direction. I tried to force him (horrible idea, I know) and made strong clicks. In addition, when using the zoom that sounds as if there is any dirt stuck somewhere. I tried using compressed air to see if maybe a little dust or sand was trapped there, but to no avail. Any ideas how I can fix this? I really can not afford to spend money on this, so if there any way to fix it on my own it would be better.
There are two ways to configure the camera to manual focus. You want to use the switch on the left side of the lens. Set to "M" for manual focus. If that does not, then your lens is broken.
